This is not your typical paper airplane! April’s take home kit has paper airplane and helicopter templates designed to get you experimenting with wind. Kits are available April 24-25 or while supplies last. Be sure to come inside to see the damage wind can do in our exhibit “Overcoming Disasters: A Community Comes Together.”

Grayslake Park District: GO Grayslake Community Walking Day

GO Grayslake and take a walk in Central Park anytime on Sunday, May 2! To keep crowd size down, we aren’t hosting a big walking event this year – instead you can walk at your own pace anytime throughout the day. Pick up a free shirt from 11-11:30am near the Concessions Stand. Enjoy a leisurely or fast-paced walk on the 1.5 mile trail around the park. Search and Share Genealogy takes place on the first Wednesday of every month. Share your genealogy triumphs and stumbling blocks with the Grayslake Historical Society. Capacity is limited to 10 people; each participant will sit at their own 6’ table and is required to wear a mask.
