This event is cancelled. Wednesday, April 8, 2020 – Grayslake Historical Society program. “A Stroll Along the South Side of Center Street”.  7:00 PM. Community Room. Free. Refreshments.  Using visual aids the history and stories of buildings and businesses on the south side of Center Street will be shared.  Audience participation will be encouraged.

Join us for this FREE event where you'll gain insight from Mr. Tony West and Mrs. Cory Huff of Healthy Choices. Our April 28th event's focus is on sexuality and dating for our pre-teens & teens. We're inviting parents with children in 5th grade and above to come.   This event is cancelled.

125th Anniversary Festival “Kick Off” and Flag Raising Ceremony

Saturday, May 9, 2020 - 125th Anniversary festival “Kick Off” and Flag Raising Ceremony. Free. Kick off Grayslake’s 125th Anniversary at the Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum at 4:00 PM., on Saturday, May 9. A new village of Grayslake flag will be unveiled and costumed interpreters will portray historic figures from Grayslake’s past.

Kids Travel Through Time

Saturday, July 11, 2020 – Kids Travel Through Time.  Families are invited to play with 3 decades of toys.  When do you think it was more fun to be a kid? The event will be held in the Grayslake Heritage Center’s Community Room.  Time travel is set to kick off at 11:00 AM., and the event is free to participate in.

Teacups for Teetotalers

Saturday, July 25, 2020 – Teacups for Teetotalers, is being held at the Grayslake Heritage Center at 164 Hawley Street from 2:00 – 3:00 PM. During Prohibition, teacups weren’t only used for tea... Decorate a teacup fit for the prohibition era—innocent on the outside and with a secret on the inside—at this program in partnership with the Grayslake Arts Alliance.  What will you put in your teacup? Supplies are limited to a first come first serve basis. Save your spot…
