Grayslake Aquatic Center
The Esper A. Petersen Foundation Family Aquatic Center, referred to as the Grayslake Aquatic Center, is open Memorial Day – Labor Day each year, offering summer fun for all ages! It sits on five and a half acres conveniently located in the Village Center and is also near IL Route 83, making it easily accessible to surrounding communities.
The aquatic center features daily admissions and season passes – all at the same rate for both Grayslake and non-Grayslake residents.
Outside of normal operating hours, the aquatic center offers swim lessons and dedicated time for lap swimming and tot swimming. Water aerobics will also return this year.
Some other features of the Grayslake Aquatic Center tailored to children, teens and adults include:
Water slides (tube and body slide)
Water play features
Zero-depth entry
Water slides
Basketball hoop
In-pool climbing wall
Lap lanes
Sand play area
Over 300 lounge chairs (shade or sun)
Outside Concession area with tables (accessible for aquatic center guests and others visiting/recreating in Central Park)
The Grayslake Aquatic Center also hosts special events throughout the swim season and offers facility rental opportunities for private use of the Aquatic Center after hours (great for family events, birthday parties or group outings). You can even book parties, surely to be memorable for all attendees! Party slots are available in 1.5 hour blocks every day during regular hours. Parties include admission and food for guests along with exclusive use of the aquatic center private party tent.
