Live Music: Gunslingers & Montana Suede

Gunslingers is the brainchild of Lou Heneise. Her high and lonesome mountain mama vocal delivery croons insightful lyrics over an acoustic guitar, often accompanied by banjo, mandolin, bass, and fiddle. She delivers a dark, Americana, Folkgrass in the roots tradition.

Montana Suede is a soulful, pop-Americana singer-songwriter. Though a solo performer, he is a tour-de-force, filling every room, wailing powerful lyrics over dramatic blues licks, and masterful guitar work. His performance is riveting.

Live Music: Hollow Down & Gunslingers @ Light the Lamp Brewery

Saturday’s live music at Light the Lamp Brewery features Hollow Down & Gunslingers.

Hollow Down is a genre-fluid enigma. They've been described "as if Tom Waits took acid and played bluegrass with a punk rock band”; throw in some Spaghetti Western flavor and a lot of heavy rhythm, and you’re getting close. The band formed in 2013 in Arcata, CA to explore a different take on blues, folk and good ol’ greasy garage rock, and have evolved into a juggernaut of haunting rhythms, darkly relatable lyrics and musical twists.
