Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum’s Exhibits
The Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum features multiple exhibition galleries, a community room, archives and collections storage. It also incorporates the original Village Hall, a former one-room school house moved to the site and expanded in 1895.

Karaoke Night - MayFest After Party
After Beer Bazaar’s karaoke hour during Grayslake Arts Alliance’s Mayfest (12 pm - 4 pm) at the Heritage Center & Museum, they’ll be hosting a Mayfest afterparty Karaoke Night. Come hangout with local artists and friends, while you sing any and all songs - from Disney sing-a-longs, musical hits, 90s alternative, classic rock, and much more. Whether you're a seasoned performer or just love to belt out a tune in the shower, all are welcome to grace the Beer Bazaar family with your best renditions!

Vinyl Sundays @ Beer Bazaar
Beer Bazaar is hosting their weekly Vinyl Sunday! This Sunday, Nick from Andy’s Records will be co-hosting with them. Come hang with some friends while drinking a cold one. When you bring a vinyl to listen to, you’ll get a $1 off any size pour!

Healthy Kids Running Series Race
Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program offered in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events.
If your child wants to try out a race and not sign up for all five, one-race signs up are available too on the day of each race! Just come by prior to the race start time (3:45 pm) and sign up for $20!

Lake County Folk Club Open Stage
Join the Lake County Folk Club for Open Stage. Sign up begins at 6 pm and music starts at 6:30 pm.
Anyone who would like to perform is encouraged to do so. Non-performing listeners are always encouraged, and will be pleasantly surprised with the diverse musical styles represented.
The first 12 performers get to do two songs (no more than ten minutes total). After the 1st 12, they will fit in as many one-song performers as time allows. Things get wrapped up at 8:30. Suggested donation is $3.

Adult Kite Flying
Join the Grayslake Area Public Library for a fun and relaxing afternoon of kite flying at Gelatin Park in Grayslake, hosted by the library! This event is perfect for adults looking to enjoy the outdoors, unwind, and try something new. Kites will be provided, or feel free to bring your own!

Lake County historian Diana Dretske will present on her book “The Bonds of War: A Story of Immigrants and Esprit de Corps in Company C, 96th Illinois Volunteer Infantry” which follows five Lake County Civil Way soldiers and tells their story for the first time ever. The Grayslake Greenery Garden Club will hold their annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 17th from 9 am - 12 pm in the parking lot next to Grayslake Village Hall (southwest corner of Center Street and Seymour Avenue).
At this sale, you’ll find homegrown perennials, annuals, vegetables, and tropical plants from their members’ gardens and gently used garden items.

Friends of the Library Book Sale
The Friends of the Grayslake Area Public Library Book Sale is back again! This sale takes place bi-annually and features a huge selection of books, CDs, DVDs, games and puzzles! Rupert Wates in Concert at The Lake County Folk Club
Join the Lake County Folk Club on Sunday, May 18th for their monthly acoustic concert featuring Rupert Wates.
Rupert Wateswas born in London and studied at Oxford University. He has been a full-time songwriter since the late 1990s when he signed a publishing contract with Eaton Music Limited. In London he worked with some of the best performers in the city. Moving in 2001 to Paris, Wates formed his own quartet and began playing live regularly. In fall 2006 he came to the US. He is now based in New York City and Colorado. Since coming to the US, he has won more than 50 songwriting and performing awards.
Audiences everywhere respond to Wates' brand of melodic art/folk—haunting songs that ring true.

Song Circle at The Lake County Folk Club
The Lake County Folk Club will host their monthly Song Circle beginning at 6:30 pm.
Come out to play or just listen. Members and non-members are always welcome. One of their friendly hosts will keep the ball rolling.
This is a casual, no pressure opportunity to kick back, play some music and meet others. The participants form a circle, and each one in turn can choose to play a song or politely pass. It’s a chance to lead songs or to join in with others. They keep moving around the circle until it’s time to call it a night.

Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony
Grayslake will hold its annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony on Monday, May 26th. The parade will step-off at 9:30 am near the Grayslake Central High School parking lot on Lake Street and travel south on Lake Street to Junior Avenue and east to Memorial Park. The service will be held immediately following the parade.

Join the community and celebrate love and inclusion at the fifth annual Grayslake Pride Parade hosted by the Better Together Project. This is a family-friendly parade that kicks off at Hawley St and Slusser St continues onto Center St and Seymour Ave and comes to an end back at Slusser.

Spring Farmers Market
Visit the Grayslake Farmers Market on Saturdays from 10 am - 2 pm (April 12th - May 31st).
This outdoor shopping experience on Whitney Street in the historic downtown Grayslake Village Center offers farm fresh and prepared foods, arts and crafts, music and children’s activities.

Clothing & Textile Drive
Grayslake Area Public Library, in partnership with SWALCO, will host a drive-through collection event for clothing and textiles. Please bring only the items listed on the accepted list on the event page.
Your donations of new and gently used clothing and textiles will be reused and are tax-deductible. As much of the worn, torn, and stained materials as possible will be recycled. Thank you for helping divert these materials responsibly!

Shred Event
Come out to securely shred files, documents, and bills at the Shred Event hosted by Community Trust Credit Union and Grayslake Area Chamber of Commerce.
The On-Site Truck will be located at the Village Hall parking lot on the southwest corner of Center Street and Seymour Avenue.
