Lake County Folk Club Open Stage

Join the Lake County Folk Club for Open Stage. Sign up begins at 6 pm and music starts at 6:30 pm.

Anyone who would like to perform is encouraged to do so. Non-performing listeners are always encouraged, and will be pleasantly surprised with the diverse musical styles represented.

The first 12 performers get to do two songs (no more than ten minutes total). After the 1st 12, they will fit in as many one-song performers as time allows. Things get wrapped up at 8:30. Suggested donation is $3.

Each $40 ticket includes all materials to create one custom candle and fill three cannolis, plus a takeaway pastry box. This is a fun and delicious way to support two local small businesses while trying something new in Lake County.

The Grayslake Arts Alliance is thrilled to partner with the brewing experts at Perfect Brewing Supply in Libertyville, IL to present you with a step by step demonstration to brew your own root beer sweetened with honey. Samples will be provided!

But wait, there's more! The GAA member artists will also be demonstrating watercolor sketching and drawing techniques. Watercolor paints and paper will be provided. All of this for $10.00!

Join Sustainability Coordinator, Dave Neu from the Village of Grayslake for a walking tour of the Village Center Nature Trail in honor of World Migratory Bird Day on June 24th.

The Village Nature Trail is located off Center Street just west of Route 83, across from Dog’n’Suds. It was newly added to the Village Center in 2024.

 The Village of Grayslake was designated as a Bird City Illinois in 2022 given their commitment to habitat creation, protection and monitoring, limiting/removing threats to birds, through education and inclusion, and climate and sustainability.

The Lake County Folk Club will host their monthly Song Circle beginning at 6:30 pm.

Come out to play or just listen. Members and non-members are always welcome. One of their friendly hosts will keep the ball rolling. 

This is a casual, no pressure opportunity to kick back, play some music and meet others. The participants form a circle, and each one in turn can choose to play a song or politely pass. It’s a chance to lead songs or to join in with others. They keep moving around the circle until it’s time to call it a night.
