The Grayslake Arts Alliance invites you to join them in celebrating the grand opening of the new "Postmarked: Grayslake 60030" exhibit at the Grayslake Heritage Center and Museum by creating your very own version of Mail Art on Saturday, February 10 from 12 pm - 4 pm!
Mail Art is a movement that began in the 1960s when artists sent postcards with poems or drawings through the post office rather than exhibiting them or selling them through commercial channels. This expanded to elaborate decorations of envelopes as well.
They will supply the envelopes and art supplies, you supply the imagination. This activity is FREE for all ages and open to all members of the public.
