Embracing Change: The Growth of Grayslake, created in partnership between the Grayslake Historical Society, the Village of Grayslake and Taylor Studios, Inc. This engaging, family-friendly exhibition provides a detailed look at how our community has grown and changed over time through rare images and artifacts, stunning graphics and innovative interactives highlighting distinctive Grayslake scents of yesterday.
A Golden Milestone: 50 Years, 50 Treasures
In 1976, the United States celebrated its bicentennial. Around the country, people began to pay more attention to the past. In Grayslake, it inspired a group of residents to begin the Grayslake Historical Society. For 5o years, the Society has been dedicated to Grayslake history. Join us in celebrating this important milestone with 50 artifacts collected by the Grayslake Historical Society over the last 50 years!
Grayslake Fire & Rescue: Past, Present, Prepared
Celebrate over 125 years of the Grayslake Fire Protection District! From a small volunteer fire department to a professional organization with that responds to the emergencies of more than 20,000 people, the Grayslake Fire District continues to protect and serve the community to the highest standard. Learn about the fire department, their accolades, their trials, and how they constantly continue to evolve to be safer and more efficient. These men and women are constantly prepared for the worst, while making a concerted effort to do their very best for the community.
