Grayslake Chamber's 75th Anniversary Bourbon Release & Cocktail Tour

  • Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum 164 Hawley Street Grayslake, IL, 60030 United States (map)

Celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Grayslake Area Chamber of Commerce on Small Business Saturday, November 29th, with a truly special and exclusive bourbon release! The Chamber has partnered with Whiskey Acres Distilling (Dekalb, Illinois) to create this one-of-a-kind spirit, which was meticulously finished in Jamaican Rum barrels and aged on Amburana staves. This unique, warming bourbon is perfect for the winter months, offering delightful notes of banana and cinnamon bark.

The festivities officially kick off with a lecture at 12 pm at the Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum. Join Pat Brophy, VP of Sales at Whiskey Acres, at the Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum for an insightful look into Whiskey Acres' history and the fundamentals of distilling. Entry is a suggested $5 donation (though not required), with all contributions directly benefiting the Heritage Center & Museum. Be sure to sign up as space is limited!

Following the lecture, join Pat Brophy, along with Sam and Nader of Beer Bazaar on a special Cocktail Tour! They will visit participating locations to try the unique cocktail creations made with the anniversary bourbon. You can continue the sampling throughout the weekend at Chamber member spots across Grayslake, including: The Vine, Beer Bazaar, Black Lung Brewing, Emil’s, First Draft, Charlie’s, and 129 Center Cut.

The signature cocktails will be available at participating locations starting with the Festival of Lights & Holiday Market. However, bottles of the exclusive Chamber's 75th Bourbon can only be purchased and picked up from Beer Bazaar on Saturday, November 29th, at the earliest.
