Murder, mayhem, and mail, fans of true crime will not want to miss the Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum’s newest series, Mail-icious Crimes. Three programs over three months will detail local and regional history of how people used the mail to commit everything from local scandals to high profile heists to a female serial killer. Each month, a different presenter will come and give a presentation on one of the three crimes we’re covering in this series.
March 13: Grayslake Historical Society presents Grayslake Post Office Scandals- In 1908 the local post office was at the heart of a dispute that divided the village (The Postmistress and the Preacher). It also has a connection to homicide in its history (Mail, Matrimony and Murder). Using research done by Society member Linda Willhite, Jane Trump will tell both stories. This presentation kicks off a three-part Mail-icious Crimes series.
