St. Patrick's Day Celebration & Parade

  • Historic Downtown Grayslake Village Center Center Street Grayslake, IL, 60030 United States (map)

Bring the entire family out for the first-ever Saint Patrick’s Day Celebration including a parade that will kick off the festivities at 1 pm! This outdoor event will feature Irish dancers, music, drinks, food, and more! Indoors, find delicious St. Patrick’s Day fare at many of the restaurants!

Directly after the parade, Center and Whitney Streets will remain closed for ongoing St. Patricks’ Day merriment including:

  • A performance by McNulty Irish Dancers on Center/Whitney Streets.

  • Live musical performance from Lee Murdock who is best-known for his interpretations of local and Great Lakes songs. Murdock has also spent many years researching and performing songs from Ireland. Hear a boisterous chorus of a famous Irish Pub song, share the sly joke in a humorous old ballad, or a vigorous dance tune from the Emerald Isle. Lee Murdock has published sixteen albums or musical books to date, and has performed all across the United States and Canada, from his home in Chicago’s far western suburbs.

  • Live music performed by Billy Nixon, a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Chicago, Illinois whose music is steeped in the Rock and Roll, Soul, and Rhythm & Blues of the 1950's and 60's.

  • Live music from Doppler Audio

  • Free Face Painting from 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm in Centennial Plaza at Whitney/Center Streets

  • From 12 pm - 4 pm, stop by the Grayslake Heritage Center & Musuem (164 Hawley Street) before or after the St. Patrick’s Day Parade for a pop-up display of Irish artifacts from community members. Make Irish themed crafts in the Community Room with members of the Grayslake Arts Alliance.

Hosted by the Grayslake Area Chamber of Commerce and Grayslake Village Center.
