Shopping in the Village Center

The Village Center features an array of unique specialty retail options. Whether its clothes, personal products, home goods, games, craft beer or books that you want for yourself or for a gift, look no further.

Peppered throughout the streets of historic downtown Grayslake are many small shops featuring not only a variety of items, but also handmade goods by store owners or local artisans - some as young as 10 years old. The Village Center business owners have worked hard to integrate products they are passionate about – many from local sources, making it that much more special to shop small and local in Grayslake.

At Romney Brown Candle Co., not only can you purchase candles and handmade goods from the owner, you can also make your own candles with dozens of scents to choose from for your own custom-blend. Excited by finding something used and making it new again? Closet Traders is an eccentric consignment store featuring new and pre-loved clothes for adults and children, and a wide variety of household décor. Beer Bazaar features a tasting room and store where knowledgeable beer enthusiasts will help you select from the hundreds of craft beers onsite.

And that’s just a few…there are still many additional shops to visit, such as This Old Book where you can find thousands of pre-owned books, as well as new books in their local authors’ section. There is also a wide selection of personal care options at the salons and spas in the Village Center and at Grayslake Apothecary.

Take a day to do some shopping and see everything the Village Center has to offer you!
