Sitting at the heart of Grayslake, the Village Center is a place where community members and visitors can gather, play and get centered.
It’s a place where there is always something going on, and where old school charm meets modern attitudes. Meander from the historic downtown to parks, trails, civic institutions and so much more for an experience that’s unmistakably local and uniquely Grayslake.
THE VILLAGE CENTER AT A GLANCE
We are excited to showcase the talented group bringing color, sights, sounds, and abundant creativity through a variety of mediums to the Grayslake community for the past several years. The Grayslake Arts Alliance (GAA) is committed to promoting the Arts in Grayslake through education, participation and development. Their diverse membership includes painters, authors, illustrators, ceramists, poets, sculptors, musicians, stained glass artists, photographers, writers, fiber artists and more. Their ongoing activity here in Grayslake is all focused on bringing art to the community and cultivating both art appreciation and participation.
In sitting down with current GAA president, Stefanie Anastasia, and past-president, Zee Lacson, we were able to learn about the Grayslake Art Alliance’s mission, composition and their special place in Grayslake and in the Grayslake Village Center.
