The Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum features multiple exhibition galleries, a community room, archives and collections storage. It also incorporates the original Village Hall, a former one-room school house moved to the site and expanded in 1895.

Beer Bazaar is hosting their weekly Vinyl Sundays. Join staff and Nick from Andy’s Records, where they will be spinning records.

The Friends of the Grayslake Area Public Library Book Sale is back again! This sale takes place bi-annually and features a huge selection of books, CDs, DVDs, games and puzzles! Come visit the Fall Sale Saturday, November 8th and Sunday, November, 9th.

Join the Lake County Folk Club for Open Stage. Sign up begins at 6 pm and music starts at 6:30 pm.

Anyone who would like to perform is encouraged to do so. Non-performing listeners are always encouraged, and will be pleasantly surprised with the diverse musical styles represented.

The first 12 performers get to do two songs (no more than ten minutes total). After the 1st 12, they will fit in as many one-song performers as time allows. Things get wrapped up at 8:30. Suggested donation is $3.

What is Silent Book Club you ask? It’s a meetup happy hour of quiet reading with book-minded pals sandwiched between opportunities to chat with others about what you’re reading/listening to, all while supporting a local business.

Looking for some weeknight fun? Come out to Emil's Tavern on Center for BINGO on Tuesday nights beginning at 8 pm! Enjoy food, drinks and BINGO games!

In this hands-on, creative workshop, participants explore the power of poetry as a tool for advocacy and self-expression. Centered around the theme "Voice & Advocacy," the session invites individuals to choose a cause they are passionate about — such as climate justice, mental health awareness, racial equity, LGBTQ+ rights, or any personal or social issue close to their heart.

Using found words, images, and phrases from magazines, newspapers, and other printed materials, participants will create collage poems — layered, visual works that blend poetry and art. Through this process, attendees will discover how their unique voices can amplify messages, challenge injustices, and inspire change. No prior poetry experience is needed — just a cause, creativity, and a desire to speak up!
