Upcoming Events in the Village Center
The Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum features multiple exhibition galleries, a community room, archives and collections storage. It also incorporates the original Village Hall, a former one-room school house moved to the site and expanded in 1895.

The story of women's suffrage is a story of voting rights, of inclusion in and exclusion from the franchise, and of our civic development as a nation. Votes for Women: A Portrait of Persistence, a poster exhibition from the Smithsonian, celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Nineteenth Amendment and explores the complexity of the women's suffrage movement and the relevance of this history to Americans' lives today.
This Pop-Up exhibit is open during regular library hours August 17 - 31.

Brittney Lace of Laced in Harmony now offers donation-based Morning Meditation classes every Wednesday from 9:15 – 10:15 am at Trillium Yoga on Center Street. Through gentle breathing techniques, mindfulness practices, and meditation, you’ll have the opportunity to slow down, recharge, and begin your day feeling centered.

Join the Grayslake Area Public Library at Beer Bazaar on Women’s Equality Day to explore the often-forgotten history of women in brewing and related industries. From Sumerian priestesses brewing beer to honor Ninkasi, goddess of beer, to the Pink Boots Society mentoring women and non-binary individuals in the fermented beverage world, they’ll cover it all.
Hear directly from local and Chicagoland women owners, brewers, and industry professionals as they share their experiences—while we raise a glass (or cup) of fermented equali-tea together!

Join Brittney of Laced in Harmony at Trillium Yoga Studio for a Chakra Balancing Sound Meditation.
In this session, Brittney will guide you through a meditation, clearing and balancing each chakra with specific frequencies and breathing techniques. After the guided meditation, Brittney will transition in to blissful soundscapes to give you time to relax and drift wherever your spirit needs to go.
No experience necessary. Please dress comfortable and in layers. You may bring any crystals you would like charged during this practice.
